Great Resources for Discipling Children (Part 3: Ages 15 – 18)

Great Resources for Discipling Children and Teens, teen, high school, college, IMB Students, resources, disciple, Jesus, Jesus Christ, God, Bible, Bible study, Gospel Above All, All Things New, True Conference 2020, Girl Defined

Teens after high school are leaving the church in droves. According to LifeWay Research, 70% of teens who attended church at least one year in high school are no longer attending church after high school. Due to the lack of discipleship during their youth, teens leave the church after hearing the arguments from atheists and other world views in college and in their adult lives. Therefore, I am sharing resources for discipling children and teens in this three part series geared toward parents and youth ministers hoping to disciple and train their children to better know God.

I have found these resources on Facebook, Instagram, LifeWay, and Amazon, and I do not list them in any particular order. While these resources are great, they pair well with an inductive Bible study curriculum that comes directly from God’s Word.

I hope these resources help you as you disciple the teens in your care. I pray that they will remain and abide in Christ rather than walking away from Him. The Church has a responsibility to raise up the next generation to know Christ and His commands. We cannot set idly by while more and more teens leave the church not knowing who He is. Soli Deo Gloria.

I always love hearing from my readers, so please feel free to comment on this post. Have you heard of or used any of these recourses? What resources and tools do you suggest for discipling teens and pointing them to Christ? What are the challenges you face as you disciple your teens? What do you believe the church should do in order to keep teens and the younger generations coming to church and believing in Christ?
